Mia | Day 21

Mia was not the oldest baby I have ever photographed but close.  She was born over the Christmas holidays and by the time her Mom and I could find a day that worked for both of us she was already almost a month old!  None the less she was a great sleeper and we got some beautiful images!

Such beautiful peaceful images, especially for a 3 week old babe!

Christine & Robbie | Maternity

I had the pleasure of spending a beautiful January afternoon with Christine and Robbie who are expecting twins!  This is special to me as I am a mother of twins so I know how excited they are.  We did a few different locations around town and it was so nice to get out of the studio to get some fresh air and a few beautiful shots!

I am patiently awaiting the birth of her boys for their newborn session!

Emily | Day 18

This little peanut was my first session of 2012… Sweet little Emily!  Also this was my first time using my new backdrop blankets from Photo Props Floors and Backdrops.  Love, Love, Love them!  Emily was 18 days when she came to the studio which is a little old for a newborn but she was a dream.  I had a great time spending the afternoon with her.

Nolan | Day 13

Jocelyn Routhier - January 21, 2012 - 4:14 pm

I’m so glad we got to share our special little man with you! We couldn’t have picked a better photographer to capture just how amazingly precious our little man is.
We’ll be back to have you capture him as he turns 1.

We are proud grandparents!! Looking forward to pics when he turns 1.

These shots are soooo amwosee! What do you use to edit your photos, and which effect do you use to give your photos such nice, warm, vintage-ish colors?? Also, I’d reaaally like to know how you make your pictures have so much bokeh. I own a D60, and I always select the biggest aperture possible, but the background never blurs as much as I want it to, especially in portraits.

Mallykha, the only thing I use on my newborn photos is Keri Meyers Color Pop and the rest is done in camera and to the RAW file like adjusting exposure and color correcting. If you would like a lot of bokeh you should shoot at about F/2 (small aperture) but you need to be careful to keep your subject in focus. I hope this helped a little and good luck!
